I created the presentation in order to demonstrate intermediate to advanced techniques that can be utilized to improve the overall quality of the studio’s output. The studio artists operate within a challenging quota-based system, so it was crucial to explore how the level of design can be improved within a tight, constantly productive environment. The company’s view was better design would visually represent the company’s efforts to provide competitive, but measurably, qualitative service. Although a good deal of the presentation dealt with Photoshop technique, there was focus on using Photoshop as a way to creatively “re-frame” an image so that it’s more appropriate for the task at hand, such as conveying an emotion or accentuating a focal point in a layout.
